Discussion of coming year
A discussion was held of the past board and the past year and its accomplishments and activities, and of plans for the coming year.
1. The Board values creating a safe space for community discussion – as it did for the Historic District expansion. The Board did significant outreach to the community to publicize the meeting and ensure broad participation.
4. Service is our primary mission – not taking positions on issues.
5. A request was made to post the locations and times of board meetings on the website and that all board decisions be posted on the web. Another request was made that when the membership votes on an issue to ensure that members can attend and participate.
11. We discussed the need to get more people involved in doing the work of the organization and recruiting new board members and officers to take over in the future.
12. Carolivia Herron – Wants to help tell and preserve the stories of the neighborhood.
