1. Board Elections Rick Doery dropped out of contention. Julie and Dodie will work together on the election procedures
2. DC School Board President Forum Julie agreed to work with Luke on setting this up.
MOTION APPROVED To sponsor DC School Board President Candidates Forum at Coolidge Luke will be the point person
3. We discussed a gift for Emily
4. Health of Organization We had a discussion of the health and future of the organization. Julie announced she was resigning from the board.
We discussed whether the organization should attempt to take positions on community issues, especially development issues, or whether we should be primarily a service organization.
5. Slate of Officers for new term We discussed possible officer candidates, including Paul as president, Jackie as treasurer, and Eleanor as secretary.
MOTION APPROVED To terminate membership of those members who are more than six months in arrears.
We also agreed to give notice that we need more nominees for board positions.
6. WMATA Hearing A request was made to adopt a resolution concerning the Metro development. No action was taken on this request.
7. Historic District expansion -- We agreed to continue to monitor this process
